"It's not just how cool the restaurant is. It's a culture of the workplace.- Kenny Volk, General Manager of Tapped Mill Creek

Today, we explore the journey of this beloved local restaurant with Kenny Volk, the general manager.

The Birth of Tapped Mill Creek

Mill Creek lacked diverse dining options until Tapped arrived with its scratch kitchen, killer beers, and rotating draft menu. Local resident Kenny Volk saw the potential and soon found himself leading the project, transforming Tapped Mill Creek into a community favorite.

A Community-Focused Journey

Kenny’s journey with Tapped began in 2021 when he was asked to evaluate Mill Creek for a new restaurant. Living nearby, he recognized the demand. The restaurant, featuring a mural by local artist Shogo Ota, opened to rave reviews, combining elements from other Tapped locations with unique touches for Mill Creek.

Building a Culture of Excellence

The success of Tapped Mill Creek isn't just about food and beer; it’s about the people. Kenny emphasizes the importance of his team, describing them as the heart and soul of the restaurant, creating an exceptional customer experience.

Expanding Horizons

Tapped Mill Creek has grown rapidly, now boasting three locations with plans for more. New concepts like Primal, a barbecue venture, promise an exciting future. Kenny’s vision includes five restaurants in five years.

Engaging with the Community

Tapped is deeply involved in the community, becoming the beer garden sponsor for the Mill Creek Festival just a month after opening. This involvement has created lasting relationships and new collaboration opportunities.

What’s Next?

With new menu items like a brisket sandwich and seasonal dishes, Tapped Mill Creek continually innovates. Kenny and his team are committed to bringing the best of food and beer to Mill Creek, ensuring every visit is memorable.

Until next time, cheers!
